Sea Shepherd

About

Sea Shepherd is a non-profit conservation organisation founded in 1977 to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s ocean.

Currently, Sea Shepherd’s work is focused on four key threats to the ocean;

  • Illegal fishing
  • Plastic pollution
  • Threats to endangered & vulnerable species
  • Climate change

With a fleet of ocean conservation vessels, Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities in oceans around the world.

By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.
